Pole Dance 101: Get ready to gain more confidence, feel sexy, and have fun! Even if you’ve never danced before, never exercised before, or are just curious about pole dance, this is the class for you. We’ll start with the very first steps of pole dance, like how to move around the pole, trust the heels, and find your inner sexyness. You’ll learn to move in sync with the music, start to freestyle and find your own way to dance, putting together basic moves that are accessible to most all bodies. You will begin to grow your bodily awareness and self-confidence. Heels are optional but recommended.
Requirements: Have taken some Intro to Pole course or similar
Pole Dance Choreo: Open level. We’ll learn to put together basic moves into a danced choreography to a song. No tricks or major pole fitness strength necessary, but the moves can be adapted to different experience and skill levels. We’ll dance, incorporate some floorwork, and flow around the pole. Should have taken some intro to pole and be familiar with basic moves and being in heels.
Advanced Heels Technique: High intermediate-advanced pole dance techniques for those that want to add some fitness spice to their dance routines. We’ll focus on quality of movement and details, slowing things down or speeding them up; learning how to use your strength to dance, combining floorwork, legwork, pole spins and more to really punch up our dancing. Get ready to surprise yourself!
Requirements: Comfortable on static and spinning pole, at least two steps of climb in heels, can hold yourself up in strong hold, pole sit, fan kick
